Bas Bleau

Nora Pollak (bas bleau) is a Stockholm-based producer, DJ, and sound artist. She’s also working as a producer at the artist run venue for experimental music and arts Fylkingen, co-running the label-community LUR, and is a monthly resident at Malmö-based Retreat Radio with the live/DJ hybrid show ‘mëld’, together with Nora Fagerblom. She draws inspiration from various aesthetics such as drone, experimental electronics, ambient, and explores the outer edges of dance music, without belonging to any specific genre or tradition. She’s currently interested in eerie, swampy and textural sound worlds, mixing a love for the contrast between harshness and softness, and maximalism- minimalism in their mixes, pieces and productions. bas bleau is often collaborating with others, most recently in the band Lokalfrågan. She’s also made remixes for artist Rip ME, worked with Sheffield-based algorithmic composer Eye Measure, and flutist Juli Déak
