Duo Bottasso

Nicolò Bottasso (IT) blends Italian folk roots with electronics, free improvisation, and expanded cinema, creating emotionally rich and boundary-crossing performances. As part of Duo Bottasso, is currently developing “Postcards from Italy,” an audiovisual journey into memory and time. During the residency, Nicolò will deepen his timbral research in the reverb-heavy cistern, exploring drones, folk melodies, and field recordings. Drawing from footage of historical Italian labour scenes - like Fiat factory and Sicilian salt mines - he aims to reflect on the passage of time and industrial heritage, while imagining new futures for human connection through sound.
