Eliska Kovacikova
Eliska Kovacikova (SK/SE) is a visual artist whose practice explores spatial analysis and layered urban and landscape environments. She holds a BA in Printmaking from Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and has also studied in Finland, Lithuania, Russia, and at Royal Institute of Art in Stockholm. Kovacikova’s work focuses on underground and shelter-like spaces, examining the body’s relationship to environments shaped by physical limitations. Through large-scale, site-specific installations made from unconventional materials, she investigates the interaction of material, form, and light. Her practice moves between the visible and the hidden, the two-dimensional and the spatial, creating threshold-like spaces where reality and fiction merge and where time and boundaries dissolve.
