Rickard Eklund

Rickard Eklund (SE) works interdisciplinarily across film, sculpture, and graphic art, creating intricate visual experiences that blur the boundaries between knowledge, myth, and dream. His process is both conceptually and technically experimental, exploring altered perception and poetic narratives through 16mm film, laser etching, light installations, and found materials. During the residency, Rickard will explore a new widescreen film format developed from analogue techniques, with the aim of extending it into 360° projection. Inspired by the unique acoustics and architecture of the cistern space, his concept blends archival footage, mirrored feedback loops, and rhythmic interactions of light and image to challenge spatial and temporal awareness.
